When we started our search for a doula to join our birth team we had a recommendation from the birthing center to check with Little Lilacs. They have a pretty extensive selection of wonderful doulas, but quickly we connected with Vanessa Delgado. After a phone interview with her and a few other doulas from other agencies we knew Vanessa was the right fit for our family. She came to our home and we navigated through expectations and birth prep for our first born. She reassured me in all the choices I had already made, answered questions, and was able to fill in gaps for areas we hadn’t even thought about. She always made sure she was available to us and even had other doulas on call anytime she wouldn’t be available quickly. On our little guys birth-day things went much faster then anyone predicted for a first birth. Vanessa arrived quickly and jumped right into support mode and coaching us through this quick labor. I have zero regrets on my choice in doula and she provided all the support we needed to bring our baby boy into the world. I hope she can join us again someday.
